Roger Ramjet! Let's watch this depressing episode!
The breakneck speed at which Gary Owens and the cast deliver the jokes is really amazing. Gary Owens was of course also the voice of Space Ghost. The original series Space Ghost and Dino Boy gets released on DVD this summer. Rejoice! For the time being here's Gary Owens yelling Space Ghost's name over and over.
He was also the voice of Hanna-Barbera's Blue Falcon. Here he is talking about his go-go dog person, Dynomutt.

I remember Roger Ramjet! I actually owned an album(!) of Roger Ramjet stories. I played it constantly - first on my grandmother's giant reel-to-reel and phonograph player (it was the size of a buffet table, seriously), and later on my own little portable record player.
I listened to it a few years ago, and was appalled - it's so sexist and jingoistic. ::grimaces:: I suppose it's proof that childhood indoctrination doesn't work, since I forgot all that, but mostly remembered the catchy theme song ("So come and join us all you kids, for lots of fun and laughter. As Roger Ramjet and his friends get all the crooks they're after!")
