I Am the Greatest: Saturday Morning Muhammad

How sweet is this? A nice long installment of the short lived Muhammad Ali cartoon that I wrote about in this article. I had no idea the show had this futuristic concept. Yes, Muhammad Ali had a hovercraft.

Ah, shit. They tricked us. Just a movie. Almost as bad as just being a dream. Oh, well.

The Flintstones (and Rubbles) Didn't Know When (or how) To Quit

Everyone and their pet dinosaur has this footage on their website and I don't see why I should be any different. It doesn't really get old, does it?

Gary Owens!

Roger Ramjet! Let's watch this depressing episode!

The breakneck speed at which Gary Owens and the cast deliver the jokes is really amazing. Gary Owens was of course also the voice of Space Ghost. The original series Space Ghost and Dino Boy gets released on DVD this summer. Rejoice! For the time being here's Gary Owens yelling Space Ghost's name over and over.

He was also the voice of Hanna-Barbera's Blue Falcon. Here he is talking about his go-go dog person, Dynomutt.

Frankenberry & Count Chocula Commercials

I don't think I ever ate Frankenberry but I'm pretty sure I can imagine what it tasted like.

Still availble for downloading on the long defunct site Frank's Vinyl Museum is this give-away cardboard record titled The Monster's Go Disco featuring the spooky cereal threesome.

ABC Saturday Morning Cartoon Preview

I've played the audio from this ad several times on my podcast but here's the actual footage, back when Saturday mornings actually meant fun and excitement.

Education is for the Birds! Sesame Street for the sake of Entertainment

The legendary Hubley Studios put together this fine short for Sesame Street, perhaps the least educational cartoon they ever made. And that is A-Okay with me.

1970 Sesame Street Animation

A couple of these are available on the swell Sesame Street Old School DVD that was released last year. Simultaneously scary and groovy.

Smokey The Bear Riding Your Ass - Natch!

Hello, everyone. This is an extension of The Generation Exploitation website. Essentially this is going to be nothing but swell animation footage from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. Let's begin!
