Beany & Cecil - Beanyland

Master satirist Bob Clampett is at it again, this time taking digs at Disneyland. When this cartoon was repackaged a few years later for its Saturday morning run from 1962-1967, network lawyers said it shouldn't be aired. They thought that the show's staple villain, Dishonest John, was supposed to be Walt Disney! They both had pencil moustaches, but anyone who had watched Beany & Cecil before knew he didn't just appear for this spoof of Disneyland. The lawyers were afraid Disney would sue, but they overlooked the fact that the short had already played on television several times on Matty's Funday Funnies.
