Dishonest John gets into the payolla racket in this Bob Clampett cartoon that moves at break-neck speed. I should mention that all the Beany and Cecil cartoons so-far featured on The Saturday Morning Blog are all available on an absolutely phenomenal DVD which was released almost eight years ago during the DVD infancy. Because of this the collection is very hard to find, and if you want a used copy it is outrageously expensive. That being said, the disc is packed with amazing extras, several different Bob Clampett puppet shows beyond Time For Beany, Clampett interviews, commentaries from Stan Freberg and several others, and some unfinished Clampett projects and unsold pilots. It is just one disc but a used copy on Amazon starts at about $110 US.
