Stop Driving Us Crazy (1959)
Amid Amidi has, what I am sure is, a fantastic new book out called Inside UPA. Amidi previously wrote Cartoon Modern (2006, Chronicle Books), the first (and long overdue) book to explore the intriguing world of 1950s "stylized" animation and design. In celebration of that genre, what I hope will soon be known in our lexicon simply as the Cartoon Modern style, we'll be posting numerous shorts from that inspired era of art and animation. This great looking weirdie was put out by the Creative Arts Studio and done for the Methodist Church! Apparently the soundtrack was laid down by jazz legend Art Blakey!!!
