Christians Against Scooby Doo

80% of all cartoons deal directly with the occult!

That's probably the ONLY Scooby Doo series I wasn't fond of...maybe because that latino kid replaced Fred and Velma. JUMPING THE SHARK!

Though I think they're missing the point of GOOD versus EVIL in these cartoons...

I remember watching classic Scooby Doo as a kid, and what I remember was, the supernatural was never real! The ghosts and monsters that were believed to be causing trouble were always just regular people using superstition to cover up their misdeeds, to keep people away. I gather that in later years, they moved toward the idea that the supernatural is real and the Scooby gang fights the supernatural, which is what these fundies are objecting to. I object to it also -- not for religious reasons (though I am religious) but just because it's ... not very interesting and kind of stupid.

I'm a Catholic
in my personal opinion "The Eagle's Nest Ministries" is a bunch of extremist christians whom believe everything has an "occult", not all Christians are like those kooks

Take Ralph Hayes, Jr. for example
He's a Christian fur that doesn't believe in all of the extremist christian bigotry of which this clip proves itself to be

Hmmm

I can see why evangelists might object to this...

Now I'm afraid to open the closets in my house for fear that Phil Phillips will be in one of them.

What an idiot.

You can say that again, Anonymous. Mr Phillips is so deep in the closet it's not even funny.

I love my God. I love my children. My children know & love God. They also love Scooby Doo. Never between the two shall meet. They understand it is a fantasy. It is no different than sitting around the campfire telling ghost stories. I grew up on Scooby Doo and never once did I think it was real or was tempted to join an occult, die my hair black, paint my face white, chant, or wear gold glowing ammulets while reading big dusty black books. I'm just a normal Christian. I'm fairly boring and see my children moving in that same normal direction even though I've exposed them to evils of Saturday morning cartoons.

Where did we find this clip by the way....the 1970 archives? Love the collar.
